What is Beyond Housing and the 24:1 Initiative?
Beyond Housing helps communities become better places to live. Thriving communities support healthy families and children. They offer a sense of pride and ownership. They see people through a crisis and help them build their dreams into realities. Beyond Housing is a comprehensive community development organization convening partners and providing leadership.
The 24:1 Initiative is a nationally-recognized community development effort created by Beyond Housing to address the fundamental challenges within the municipalities in the Normandy school district in North St. Louis County.
The 24:1 Initiative was influenced in part by the Aspen Institute’s Voices from the Field III, which is based on two decades of community change efforts. Within the study, the Aspen Institute identified several critical areas of focus necessary in making communities better places to live.
Below is the link to a short online survey about how the 24:1 community feels about trees in their neighborhood. Please complete the survey in order for BY to plan for future work. The information they receive from this survey will be valuable in helping communicate, plan and act on the needs of the community. https://umsl.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_e3S0S5WkoKoOMtg For more information on Beyond Housing, please visit https://www.beyondhousing.org
